Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Recreation Facilities Supervisor to oversee and maintain premier facilities in Centurion, Gauteng. The role leads a team of attendants and cleaners, coordinating schedules and ensuring safety, cleanliness, and readiness for events and daily use.

Key responsibilities include supervising operations, budgeting, training and performance management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. A relevant FM qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facility management or operations supervision.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
• Ability to read technical manuals and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of recreation facilities including sports fields, courts, gyms and changing rooms.
• Lead facility attendants, groundskeepers and cleaners; schedule and appraise performance.
• Develop and implement maintenance and cleaning schedules for safety and presentation.
• Conduct inspections to identify hazards and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate setup/teardown for events, training and competitions.
• Liaise with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
• Assist in budget planning and management for facility operations and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
