Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa seeks a experienced Leisure Centre Supervisor to oversee daily operations of a busy recreational facility, lead a team, ensure high standards of customer service, and manage resources for a safe and enjoyable environment.

You will supervise front-line staff, oversee health and safety compliance, handle bookings and memberships, resolve customer inquiries, and collaborate with management on scheduling, inventory and events to drive community engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory/management role within leisure or hospitality.
• Strong leadership, team management and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to recreational facilities.
• Ability to handle conflict resolution and problem-solving effectively.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train front-line staff, including receptionists, lifeguards, and fitness instructors.
• Ensure smooth facility operation with adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Manage daily cash handling, reconcile sales, and oversee bookings and memberships.
• Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Enforce facility policies to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Collaborate on scheduling, inventory management, and event coordination.
