Job summary

Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking a proactive Leisure Centre Duty Manager to oversee daily operations of a modern leisure facility. You will manage shifts, ensure high service standards, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all patrons.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a supervisory role, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills. First Aid certification is an advantage, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role within leisure, hospitality, or fitness.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to leisure facilities.
• First Aid certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise staff during shifts to ensure efficiency and service quality.
• Keep the facility clean, safe, and well-maintained; address issues promptly.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
• Enforce centre policies and health and safety regulations.
• Assist in developing and delivering recreational programs and activities.
• Conduct regular facility checks and complete duty reports accurately.
