Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a competent Aquatics Centre Manager to lead operations at a premier facility in Stellenbosch. You will oversee daily activities, safety, staff, and facility upkeep, ensuring high standards for patrons and the community.

Responsibilities include lifeguard supervision, swim school programs, events, budgeting, and revenue through memberships. A current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid instructor qualification are required, with strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Experience managing an aquatic facility or similar venue.
• Strong knowledge of pool operations and water quality.
• Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid instructor certification.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience supervising staff, scheduling, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the aquatics centre, including pool maintenance, safety protocols, and customer service.
• Supervise and schedule a team of lifeguards, swim instructors, and pool attendants.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and water quality standards and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and promote swimming lessons, aquatic fitness classes, and special events.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and drive revenue generation through memberships and program fees.
