Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Leisure Centre Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a community leisure facility in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will manage staff, ensure high standards of customer service, and promote a wide range of recreational activities.

This role requires strong organizational and people management skills, a commitment to community engagement through sport and leisure, and the ability to maintain a welcoming, safe environment for users.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in leisure/hospitality is preferable.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to leisure facilities.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of leisure centre staff, including receptionists, lifeguards, and instructors.
• Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained according to health and safety regulations.
• Manage customer service operations, handling inquiries, bookings, and complaints effectively.
• Oversee the scheduling of activities, classes, and events held at the leisure centre.
• Implement and enforce facility policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in managing budgets, controlling expenses, and identifying opportunities for revenue generation.
