Job summary

Placements24 in Paarl (Western Cape) seeks a creative Learning Designer to transform higher education content into engaging online and blended experiences. You will work with faculty to design and develop high-quality learning materials that leverage modern pedagogies.

The role requires LMS proficiency (Moodle/Blackboard/Canvas) and e-learning tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate). Onboarding enables remote work flexibility after integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Proven experience in learning design or curriculum development, particularly in higher education.
• Proficiency with LMS (Moodle/Blackboard/Canvas) and e-learning tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, pedagogy, and assessment design.
• Excellent project management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty to design and develop engaging online and blended learning courses and modules.
• Apply instructional design theories and best practices to create effective learning experiences.
• Develop a variety of learning materials, including interactive content, assessments, multimedia elements, and facilitator guides.
• Utilize LMS and other educational technologies to deliver and manage course content.
• Conduct needs analyses and evaluate the effectiveness of learning designs, making recommendations for improvement.
