Job summary

Online Education Services in Cape Town seeks a Learning Design Team Lead to manage a pod of Learning Designers, overseeing online unit development to meet quality standards and timelines. You will collaborate with university partners, academics, and IT to create engaging, learner-centered online experiences that reflect current best practice and drive student outcomes.

This role leads thought leadership in educational design and works across processes to optimise QA and workload management,

Qualifications

• Relevant undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualification.
• Extensive experience in online teaching environments and learner-centered design.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Moodle).
• Proven ability to manage people and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a pod of Learning Designers to deliver quality online units.
• Collaborate with university partners, academics, and IT to create engaging learning activities.
• Oversee QA processes, timelines, and workload balancing across the pod.
