About the Role

Our client, a well-established financial services institution, is seeking a passionate and innovative Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to drive employee growth and enhance organizational capabilities. This role is critical in identifying training needs, designing impactful learning programs, and ensuring the continuous skill development of our workforce. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses across all departments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
• Design, develop, and implement engaging and effective training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules.
• Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtually, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill application.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through various assessment methods and provide feedback for improvement.
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate tracking of training records and employee progress.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in L&D and incorporate innovative approaches into program design.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and external training providers to develop and deliver high-quality content.
• Support the development of career pathing and succession planning initiatives through targeted learning interventions.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development, with a proven track record in designing and delivering training programs.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and various instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate).
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs and evaluate impact.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience within the financial services sector is advantageous.
• Must be willing to work from our offices in Mossel Bay, Western Cape .
