Job summary

Valterra Platinum Limited invites unemployed community members from Amandelbult host communities to apply for the Learner Miner Learnership Program. It provides structured theoretical and practical workplace training, with mentorship by Competent Miners, and prepares candidates for DMRE Blasting Certificate exams.

Completion may lead to future entry-level Miner opportunities based on operational needs. The program runs 24–30 months and includes stipend, mentoring, and exposure to the mining

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) with a Bachelor Pass; Maths Literacy 60% or Maths 50%+ preferred.
• South African citizen with a valid ID, residing in host communities.
• Medically fit for the role and working environment.
• Good communication skills.
• No criminal record.

Job Description

The Company invites suitably qualified unemployed community members to apply for the Learner Miner Learnership Program. The program provides structured theoretical and practical workplace training, including mentorship by Competent Miners, to develop the skills and competencies required for a Miner role. Participants will also prepare for the DMRE Blasting Certificate examinations. Successful completion of the program may provide an opportunity for inclusion in the Company's talent pipeline for future entry-level Miner positions, subject to operational requirements

• 15 x External Candidates from Amandelbult host Communities and/or beneficiaries

The program will run between 24 – 30 Months
