Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Improvement Lead in Mahikeng, North West. You will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean and Six Sigma to optimize production, reduce waste, and improve quality across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 7+ years of manufacturing operations experience focusing on process improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred.
• Proven track record leading large-scale improvements.
• Strong leadership and change management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Experience in cross-functional team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of process improvement projects across manufacturing operations.
• Champion lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, identifying opportunities for application.
• Conduct process audits, waste analysis, and value stream mapping to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
• Develop and mentor a team of engineers and operators in continuous improvement techniques.
• Set performance targets and monitor KPIs to track the success of improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure effective implementation and integration of changes.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and problem-solving sessions.
• Develop and deliver training programs on process improvement tools and techniques.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout process changes.
