Placements24 seeks a Lean Six Sigma Engineer to drive continuous improvement at our Klerksdorp facility. You will lead cross-functional projects, mentor staff on Lean Six Sigma, and push operational excellence by eliminating waste and reducing variability.

With a Black Belt and 4+ years in manufacturing, you will apply DMAIC, SPC, and data analysis tools to deliver sustainable gains. You’ll collaborate with leadership to embed standardized work and visual management across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of proven experience leading Lean Six Sigma projects in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, Excel) and project management tools.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and change management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects from DMAIC to successful implementation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and quality enhancement across all operational areas.
• Develop and implement standardized work procedures, visual management systems, and 5S initiatives to maintain gains.
• Train and mentor employees on LSS tools, techniques, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Analyze process data to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions.
• Communicate project progress and results to management and stakeholders in Klerksdorp.
