Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a proactive Production Engineer to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes at our client’s facility. You will work with production, quality assurance, and maintenance to implement best practices and improve productivity.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years of production experience, and a proven ability to apply lean methods and SPC on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with process optimization and lean manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with quality control systems and statistical process control (SPC).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, essential for a collaborative production floor in Bloemfontein.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for production line issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
