Placements24 seeks a Senior Production Engineer to lead and optimize production processes at their Vereeniging facility. You will drive efficient operations, improve quality and cost performance, and develop robust SOPs and work instructions.

The role requires strong analytical and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in production engineering or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen, 5S and SPC; MES/ERP expertise.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize daily production operations to meet targets for output, quality, and cost.
• Lead process improvement projects using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain production documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and root causes of problems, implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, maintenance, and supply chain, to resolve issues and enhance overall performance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and production staff, promoting best practices and skill development.
