Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Engineer to oversee and optimize chemical manufacturing processes at our Bloemfontein facility. The role is hands-on, focusing on safe, high-quality production output and working with plant operators, maintenance, and quality control to troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and 3–5 years of production/ Process Engineering experience in chemical manufacturing, with strong analytical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a production/process engineering role in chemical manufacturing.
• Familiarity with plant operations, process control systems, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for process optimization to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot operational problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to all SHE procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Manage production schedules and resource allocation to meet output targets.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and implementation of new technologies.
