Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Efficiency Engineer to optimize manufacturing and operational processes at facilities in Polokwane. You will identify waste, improve productivity, and drive cost-effective use of resources through lean methods and data-driven analysis.

In this hybrid role, you will balance site visits with remote analysis, collaborate with production and management teams, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in industrial engineering focusing on efficiency.
• Proven Lean Manufacturing experience and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and data-analysis software proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving and results-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Apply Lean tools (5S, VSM, Kaizen) to improve processes.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for efficiency, throughput and cost savings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement improvements.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
• Train operations personnel on efficiency best practices and continuous improvement.
