Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or Environmental Design with a strong specialization in sustainability.
• 12+ years of architectural practice, with at least 7 years in sustainable design leadership.
• Experience leading sustainability strategy for complex, large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of green building rating systems: LEED AP BD+C, Green Star SA AP, EDGE Auditor desirable.
• Proficiency in building performance analysis software (IES VE, EnergyPlus, Ecotect) and BIM.
• Analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills; strong communication and leadership.
• SACAP registration is essential; compelling portfolio of sustainable designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of sustainable design strategies across all firm projects.
• Provide expert guidance on energy efficiency, water conservation, materials selection, and lifecycle analysis.
• Conduct and oversee building performance simulations and energy modeling.
• Drive the pursuit of green building certifications (LEED, Green Star SA, EDGE).
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients to integrate sustainable solutions into designs.
• Research and promote innovative sustainable technologies and practices.
• Develop training programs and mentor architectural staff on sustainable design principles.
• Represent the firm in industry forums and conferences related to sustainable architecture.
• Advocate for sustainable design at highest client engagement levels.
