Placements24 is seeking a Lead Supply Chain Efficiency Engineer in Cape Town to drive optimization across procurement, inventory, warehousing, and distribution. You will lead a team of engineers and analysts, leveraging data-driven insights to cut costs and improve service levels.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience in supply chain engineering, with strong skills in modeling, WMS/TMS, and analytics using SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain engineering and logistics management.
• Expertise in supply chain modeling, simulation, and optimization techniques.
• Strong knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
• Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain optimization strategies.
• Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains.
• Design and implement advanced inventory management systems and forecasting models.
• Evaluate and select appropriate logistics partners and technologies to improve delivery times and reduce costs.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain engineers and analysts.
