Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's ideal.
• Minimum 9 years of structural engineering experience, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Extensive experience with SAP2000, ETABS and Prokon.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the structural engineering department, overseeing design, analysis, and documentation for various construction projects.
• Ensure the technical integrity and compliance of all structural designs with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Lead the structural design process for complex building structures, bridges, and other infrastructure.
• Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Provide expert technical advice and mentorship to structural engineers and design teams.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
• Manage project resources, including personnel, budgets, and timelines, for structural engineering tasks.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor structural integrity and construction quality.
• Contribute to the development of new engineering standards and best practices within the company.
• Oversee risk management related to structural design and construction.
