Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in solar energy systems design and engineering.
• Proficient with solar design software such as PVSyst and Helioscope.
• In-depth knowledge of solar PV components, inverters, mounting structures, and storage.
• Strong understanding of SA electrical codes, standards, and grid interconnection.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of utility-scale and commercial solar PV projects.
• Perform site assessments, feasibility studies and energy yield analyses.
• Oversee procurement of solar equipment to meet specs and quality standards.
• Provide technical and project management support from concept to commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers, installation crews and clients to ensure delivery.
• Stay updated on solar tech, energy storage and grid integration.
