Placements24 is seeking a Social Media Marketing Manager for a Gauteng-based role in Tembisa. You will define and execute bold social media strategies across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok, shaping our brand voice and driving engagement with target audiences.

This hands-on role requires strong analytics, content creation, community management, and paid social advertising expertise, with leadership duties within the marketing team and collaboration on product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in social media marketing, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven success in developing and executing effective social media strategies and campaigns.
• Expertise in managing paid social media advertising campaigns (Facebook Ads Manager, etc.).
• Strong content creation skills, including copywriting, basic graphic design, and video editing.
• Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms.
• Excellent understanding of social media KPIs and reporting methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and community management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment based in Tembisa, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a robust social media strategy across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Create, curate, and schedule engaging, high-quality content (text, images, video) that reflects brand voice and resonates with target audiences.
• Monitor social media channels for industry trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity, providing actionable insights.
• Manage and grow our online community, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and conversions.
• Collaborate with the wider marketing team to ensure social media efforts are integrated with overall campaign strategies and product launches.
• Analyze social media data and generate detailed reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Stay abreast of the latest social media best practices, emerging platforms, and digital marketing technologies.
