Job summary

Alfred H Knight in Steelpoort, South Africa, invites applications for a Team Leader Sample Preparation. The role oversees shift-based supervision of the sample preparation workflow, ensuring client instructions are followed, safety standards are met, and production targets are achieved.

You will train and develop the Sample Preparers, coordinate scheduling with the Site Foreman, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 3 years experience leading teams in a minerals laboratory or sample preparation environment.
• Experience performing sample prep procedures with understanding of methodology.
• Must read and follow work instructions safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee department workflow to meet client deadlines.
• Supervise shift-based sample preparation and ensure quality and safety.
• Train and develop staff; monitor performance and provide feedback.
• Coordinate with Site Foreman and Inspectors on operations and issues.
• Maintain records and logs for maintenance and production.
