Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Lead Reservoir Engineer for its George, Western Cape operation. You will guide a team of reservoir engineers to optimize hydrocarbon recovery, develop field development plans, and forecast production with advanced reservoir simulations.
The role requires a Master’s degree in a geoscience field and 10+ years in reservoir engineering, with expertise in ECLIPSE/CMG and EOR methods, and strong leadership and communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive reservoir engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement reservoir management strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
- Conduct reservoir characterization studies including geological modeling and petrophysical analysis.
- Perform material balance, decline curve analysis, and reservoir simulations.
- Prepare reserves reports and economic evaluations for assets.
- Mentor junior reservoir engineers and lead a technical team.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and production/drilling engineers to optimize field development.
