Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Simulation Specialist to join our technical team in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will build, calibrate, and run advanced reservoir models to optimize hydrocarbon asset performance and support field development and production planning.

The ideal candidate has a Master's or PhD in Petroleum Engineering and 8+ years of hands-on experience with Eclipse, CMG, and INTERSECT, plus strong data integration, analysis, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on reservoir simulation experience with complex geological models.
• Expert proficiency in commercial simulators (ECLIPSE, CMG, INTERSECT).

Responsibilities

• Develop, calibrate, and validate dynamic reservoir models.
• Run simulations for production optimization, infill drilling, EOR.
• Analyze results and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and uncertainty assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and prepare technical reports.
