Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in the field of Occupational hygiene in trackless mining.
• Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control.
• Clear security screening.
• Code B Driver License.
• Medically fit for the position per risk based medical examination.

Responsibilities

• Assist ventilation and occupational hygiene labour plans around targets.
• Inspire team towards high performance and safe production.
• Drive culture of safety, transformation and sustainability within the department.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and development for the team.
• Manage budgets for ventilation and occupational hygiene activities.
• Source, contract and liaise with service providers for hygiene needs.
• Schedule and perform occupational hygiene measurements for compliance.
• Prepare and report on ventilation/occupational hygiene findings and trends.
• Ensure adherence to Mine Health and Safety Act provisions and company policies.

Education

Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control

SAIOH registration (advantageous)
