AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking an Occupational Hygienist for a fixed-term contract at a mining site in the Northern Cape. The role emphasizes leadership of OH programs, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.

You will develop and implement OH strategies, oversee monitoring programs, and prepare statutory reports, leveraging at least 5 years in mining Hygiene with SAIOH certification. Market-related salary.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent.
• Certificate in Mine Environmental Control as issued by the Chamber of Mines SA or equivalent.
• SAIOH certification recognized.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Occupational Hygiene in a mining environment.
• Minimum 2 years experience managing an Occupational Hygiene Department.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate all Occupational Hygiene and emergency preparedness & response matters to ensure legal compliance.
• Develop and implement OH strategies and systems based on risk assessments.
• Manage OH measurement and monitoring strategies, investigations and reporting.
• Report on the effectiveness of Emergency preparedness programmes.
• Complete and submit statutory reports to the DMRE.
