Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Nanny in Cape Town to support children with special needs within a private household. You will develop tailored care and education plans, provide direct care, and collaborate with parents to ensure the child's wellbeing and development.

The role requires patience, strong communication, and expertise in developmental delays or disabilities, with a commitment to confidentiality and professional discretion.

Qualifications

• Extensive nanny/caregiver experience focused on children with special needs.
• Proven ability to create and implement care and development plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with families.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care and educational plans for children.
• Provide direct care including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance.
• Engage children in activities to foster development and independence.
• Administer therapies or support therapists as directed.
• Monitor progress and maintain records; communicate observations to the family.
• Ensure a safe, clean, organized home environment.
• Collaborate with parents on behavioral strategies and goals.
• Administer medication as prescribed following protocols.
• Provide a stable, nurturing presence and manage schedules.
