Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or ND in Mine Surveying or Geomatics required.
• Professional registration as a Pr.Min.Surv with SAGC is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years in mine surveying with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive mine surveying plans across mining operations.
• Lead and manage the mine surveying team, including training and performance management.
• Oversee acquisition, processing, and management of spatial data (surface and underground).
• Establish and maintain control networks for operations, construction, and exploration.
• Utilize surveying equipment and software (total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners, CAD/GIS).
• Collaborate with geology, engineering, and operations for planning and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with SA land surveying regulations and mining legislation.
• Audit survey data and equipment for accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed survey reports, plans, and cross-sections for management/regulators.
