Qualifications

• A Grade 12/National Senior Certificate is required with SANC registration eligibility.
• Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education is required or equivalent qualification.
• Post Basic Diploma in OR Peri-Operative Nursing registered with SANC.
• Master’s degree in nursing or public health preferred.
• Proof of current registration with SANC required.
• Assessor and Moderator certification is advantageous.
• Strong communication, supervisory, report writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate education and training of specialist student nurses in clinical and theory settings.
• Guide and support student nurses; exercise control over learners.
• Implement assessment strategies to determine competency.
• Participate in college activities, committees and scholarly research.
• Contribute to curriculum implementation, monitoring and review.
