Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer specialized in Systems Analysis and Design for a Sandton-based role. You will analyze complex operational systems, identify improvement opportunities, and design efficient solutions across production, logistics, and business processes.

You will model systems, assess feasibility with cost-benefit analyses, and collaborate with multiple departments to translate needs into robust designs and implementation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong emphasis on systems analysis, design, and optimization.
• Proven experience in analyzing complex operational systems and developing effective solutions.
• Strong proficiency in systems modeling, simulation software, and data analysis techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Solid understanding of project management principles.
• Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders in Sandton.
• Experience with process mapping tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and databases is beneficial.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach to system design and implementation.

Responsabilités

• Conduct detailed analysis of existing industrial and business systems to identify operational issues and improvement opportunities.
• Design new or modify existing operational systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Develop system models, simulations, and flowcharts to represent current and proposed states.
• Evaluate the feasibility and impact of proposed system changes, including cost-benefit analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements and ensure alignment on system designs.
• Develop detailed specifications for system implementations, including software, hardware, and procedural requirements.
• Oversee the implementation of new systems and processes, ensuring a smooth transition and adoption.
• Develop and implement performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of designed systems.
• Document system designs, processes, and procedures thoroughly.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and industry best practices relevant to systems analysis and design.
