Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer to oversee on-site electrical works for commercial building projects in Paarl. The role emphasizes hands-on site supervision, adherence to design specs, safety standards, and project timelines.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with at least four years’ experience and a solid grasp of SANS codes. You will coordinate with subcontractors, site teams, and project managers to deliver quality

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installations within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of electrical building codes (e.g., SANS) and safety practices.
• Experience with site supervision and managing subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site electrical installation activities for commercial projects.
• Interpret electrical design drawings, schematics, and specifications, and ensure their accurate implementation.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve electrical installation issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare progress reports, manage site documentation, and participate in project meetings.
