Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Rustenburg team. You will lead the electrical design from concept to completion, developing schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts for industrial projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical codes (SANS, IEC), motor control, PLC systems, and hands‑on leadership to mentor a team in a structured on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in electrical design with an industrial focus.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards (SANS, IEC).
• Experience with motor control, PLC systems, and industrial automation.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process from concept to completion for various projects.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Specify electrical components, equipment, and control systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, including load calculations and fault current analysis.
• Oversee the technical aspects of project execution with installation teams.
• Ensure designs adhere to national and international standards and regulations.
