Placements24 is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer in Centurion to spearhead grid modernization initiatives. You will lead a team of engineers, design and implement advanced technologies for a more resilient power grid, and ensure project success across the energy sector.

The role requires a Master’s degree, 10+ years of experience in power systems, and strong leadership. Remote work options are available along with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering with focus on power systems and grid infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Experience with grid modernization technologies (SCADA, AMI, DMS, protection systems).

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of electrical systems for grid modernization projects.
• Oversee technical aspects of project execution ensuring compliance with specs and standards.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers and designers.
• Develop and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and protection schemes.
• Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders and regulators to ensure project success.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses for new grid infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and devise innovative solutions.
• Stay updated on grid modernization technologies and vendor relationships.
