Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to establish and drive the DevOps strategy from a remote-first hub. You will build scalable, secure infrastructure and champion automation across engineering teams, implementing CI/CD, IaC, and robust monitoring.

The role requires leadership experience, deep cloud and containerization expertise, and a passion for automating complex environments in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a lead DevOps or SRE role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes; CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies for health and performance.
• Automate operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with software teams for scalability and operability.
• Champion security best practices across infra and deployment.
• Mentor engineers on DevOps principles and practices.
