Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our remote-first engineering team. You will drive automation, deployment, and operational excellence across a scalable cloud platform.

You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), automate provisioning with Terraform/Ansible, and implement robust monitoring, logging, and security practices. Collaboration with development and QA is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Networking, security, and OS knowledge (Linux/Windows).
• Experience with monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using IaC tools.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain scripting for automation tasks (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Ensure the security and compliance of the infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
