Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead BIM Modeler in Gauteng to spearhead BIM standards, model coordination, and team leadership for large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments in Tembisa and surrounding areas.

You will mentor junior BIM technicians, manage clash detection, and drive efficiency with advanced BIM workflows while maintaining high quality across all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive BIM modeling and coordination experience.
• Experience leading BIM teams and projects.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of AEC systems and BIM standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BIM process for assigned projects, ensuring standards.
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models (Architectural, Structural, MEP).
• Perform clash detection and drive resolution with teams.
• Create and manage BIM content libraries, templates, and standards.
• Train and mentor junior BIM modelers and technicians.
• Oversee quality control of all BIM deliverables.
• Collaborate with PMs, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Stay current with BIM technologies and workflows.
• Ensure effective communication among stakeholders on BIM processes.
