Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator in Gauteng to lead the implementation and coordination of BIM across residential and commercial projects. You will manage BIM models, support interdisciplinary teams, and ensure data integrity in a hybrid work setting.

The role focuses on developing BIM standards, facilitating coordination, and delivering accurate BIM reports while staying current with new BIM technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology.
• 4+ years of experience as a BIM Coordinator or Technician.
• Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks is essential.
• Experience with clash detection and resolution workflows.
• Understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
• Familiarity with BEPs and project coordination processes.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models from multiple disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain BIM standards, templates and libraries.
• Assist teams in setting up and managing BIM models in Revit.
• Ensure compliance with BEPs for each project.
• Prepare BIM reports and documentation for reviews.
• Provide training and support on BIM workflows and software.
• Collaborate with project managers to optimize BIM utilization.
• Maintain digital project data accessibility and integrity.
• Stay updated on new BIM technologies and best practices.
