Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Aquatics Centre Supervisor in Cape Town to oversee daily operations at a premier swimming facility. You will lead lifeguards and attendants, schedule staff, and ensure top safety, cleanliness, and service levels for competitors and casual visitors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising aquatics facilities or leisure operations.
• Valid lifeguard certification and knowledge of pool safety protocols.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff schedules and operating budgets.
• First Aid and CPR certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of lifeguards, swim instructors, and pool attendants.
• Enforce safety regulations, emergency procedures, and pool operating standards.
• Monitor pool chemical balance and coordinate maintenance with technical staff.
• Address patron inquiries and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Plan and promote swimming programs, lessons, and events to maximize usage.
• Maintain inventory and report maintenance needs promptly.
