Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aquatic Centre Supervisor to manage a Richards Bay facility, overseeing lifeguards, pool attendants, and aquatic programs while ensuring safety and excellent patron experience.

The role requires a National Lifeguard qualification with First Aid/ CPR and at least 3 years of lifeguarding or aquatic supervision experience, with pool operator certification desirable. A strong focus on leadership and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold National Lifeguard qualification and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Minimum 3 years of lifeguarding or aquatic supervision experience.
• Pool operator certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of pool chemistry, maintenance and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the aquatic centre, including pool deck management, equipment checks, and cleanliness.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and emergency procedures, leading the lifeguard team.
• Manage and schedule lifeguards, swim instructors, and pool attendants, ensuring adequate staffing.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of pool filtration systems and chemical balancing.
• Develop and implement aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water aerobics, and recreational swimming sessions.
