Job summary

NBCPSS is seeking a Designated Agent in Polokwane to promote, monitor and enforce compliance with the Council's collective agreements across the private security sector. The role involves interpreting contractual clauses, issuing compliance orders, and advocating settlement terms with employer representatives.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Post matric qualification in Labour Relations/Industrial Relations/Labour Law or HRM preferred.
• 2–3 years’ Labour Relations experience.
• 1–2 years’ experience in Collective Bargaining or Labour Law enforcement an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Promote, monitor and enforce compliance with all Collective Agreements.
• Interpret and apply clauses of Collective Agreements; issue Compliance Orders.
• Calculate amounts owing to Council for non-compliance and issue orders.
• Negotiate, draft and sign settlement agreements with employer reps.
• Lead enforcement cases through arbitration and prosecute non-compliant employers.
• Conduct inspections and issue findings reports; discuss results with stakeholders.
• Investigate complainant cases and determine appropriate investigation approach.
• Serve legal documents such as compliance orders, notices of arbitration and awards.
