Job summary

EdUpStairs in South Africa seeks a Labour Inspector responsible for planning and conducting inspections to ensure BCEA compliance and enforcing labour legislation. The role involves independent investigations of reported contraventions and conducting proactive inspections to monitor standards.

The position also requires delivering advocacy on Labour Legislation, and preparing inspection plans, reports, and statistical analyses for assigned cases.

Qualifications

• Three-year tertiary qualification in Labour Relations/ BCOM Law/ LLB.
• One year of functional experience in Inspection and Enforcement Services.
• A valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and independently conduct inspections to ensure compliance with BCEA.
• Investigate reported cases of contravention of labour legislation.
• Plan and conduct proactive inspections to monitor compliance.
• Conduct advocacy campaigns on Labour Legislation independently.
• Draft and maintain inspection plans and reports with analysis and statistics for allocated cases.
