Job summary

JVR Software is seeking a proactive Tier 3 IT Support specialist for our Johannesburg team. You will handle advanced troubleshooting across networks, servers and applications, perform RCA, and implement permanent fixes to complex incidents.

You will also support and optimize infrastructure and systems performance, manage critical escalations, drive security patching, and contribute to knowledge sharing and strategic IT initiatives within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Tier 3/Level 3 IT support or infrastructure roles.
• Strong troubleshooting across networks, servers, and applications.
• Experience with root cause analysis and incident management.
• Knowledge of IT security, patch management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex IT incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Tier 3 / Level 3 IT Support or Infrastructure role
• Strong expertise in advanced troubleshooting across networks, servers, and applications
• Solid understanding of system performance, monitoring, and optimization
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem management
• Knowledge of IT security, patch management, and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently on high-impact, business-critical issues
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Based in Johannesburg (preferably within close proximity to Sunninghill)
• Own reliable transport (client site visits required)
• Must have legal eligibility to work in South Africa
