Job summary

Skillnet Recruitment seeks a Junior Technical Sales Representative for our Nelspruit Branch (Mpumalanga). The role focuses on growing customer base in the hydraulics and pneumatics sectors, with emphasis on meeting budgets and driving gross profit through proactive sales calls and accurate reporting.

You should have Matric with Maths and Science, 2–3 years in fluid power sales, and preferably knowledge of SYSPRO ERP. A valid driver’s license is required, and internal training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Matric with Maths and Science, computer literate, must have a valid driver license and own vehicle.
• Tertiary education in relevant field, minimum 3 years' experience in sales, and knowledge of SYSPRO- ERP system would be advantageous.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience would be advantageous.
• Minimum 2-3 years sales experience in Fluid Power Industry.
• Hydraulic and/or Pneumatics course through accredited training provider.
• Internal training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Sales calling on current customers (minimum visits per week set by department head).
• Call Report Management and time/attendance reporting.
• Provide accurate information to engineering and workshop; maintain customer feedback.
• Ensure customer inquiries receive accurate quotes timeously and maintain high levels of service.
• Build and maintain relationships with the customer base; assist with tenders if applicable.
• Learn and familiarise with the Ernest Lowe Product range; prepare and present sales reports.

Brief Description of Key Performance Areas

• Must meet budgets that are set out annually (Gross Profit)

Management of the following:

• Sales calling on current customers (minimum visits per week set by department head)
