Job summary

Skillnet Recruitment requires a Senior Technical Sales Representative to join the Nelspruit, Mpumalanga team. The role focuses on growing sales in the fluid power sector, managing key accounts, and delivering accurate quotations in a timely manner.

The candidate should have a strong customer-focused approach, negotiation and communication skills, and be able to work underground if required. Traffic in PEN and hydraulics knowledge will be advantageous for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Matric with Mathematics and Science is required.
• At least five years’ sales experience in the fluid power industry.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• MerSETA-accredited hydraulic/pneumatic training completed.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge or experience.
• Knowledge of SYSPRO ERP is advantageous.
• Willingness to work underground.
• Medically fit to perform the required duties.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual gross-profit and sales targets.
• Visit existing customers in line with weekly activity targets.
• Complete and maintain accurate call reports.
• Manage customer information, feedback and account platforming.
• Respond to customer enquiries promptly.
• Prepare accurate quotations within required turnaround times.
• Maintain excellent levels of customer service.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
• Develop new business and achieve customer-acquisition targets.
• Provide accurate information internally.
• Assist with tenders where applicable.
• Prepare and present sales reports at management meetings.
• Comply with reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric with Mathematics and Science
