Village n Life in Camps Bay, Cape Town, is seeking a Junior MICE Reservations Agent to join our Group Services team. This entry-level role offers practical exposure to MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and events) while developing reservations and client service skills within the Village n Life portfolio.

You will support day-to-day handling of group, conference and event enquiries and reservations, prepare quotations, capture details, and follow up with clients and internal teams to

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Hospitality/Events or related qualification advantageous
• Previous experience in reservations, hospitality, events, customer service or administration advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good administrative and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional telephone and email manner
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up consistently
• Willingness to learn and develop within hospitality reservations and MICE
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Responsabilités

• Assist with MICE, group, conference and event enquiries
• Prepare quotations, proposals and booking correspondence using approved rates and templates
• Capture and maintain accurate reservation and client information
• Follow up on outstanding quotations, information and booking requirements
• Assist with booking amendments, confirmations and cancellations
• Communicate professionally with clients by telephone and email
• Support the MICE team with booking administration and coordination
• Liaise with Reservations, Sales, Revenue, Operations and Events teams as required
• Ensure client requirements and booking details are accurately recorded and communicated
• Assist with preparations for site inspections and client meetings
• Maintain organised records of enquiries, quotations and confirmed bookings
• Assist with basic reporting and booking updates
• Develop a good working knowledge of Village n Life properties, venues, accommodation and MICE offerings
• Follow company procedures relating to rates, reservations, deposits and booking terms
• Provide general administrative support to the MICE team as required
