Job summary

Our client located in Pretoria East is a boutique law firm specialising in employment law, with over 25 years’ experience in labour matters. A Junior-Mid Level Attorney will support senior attorneys in CCMA arbitrations, Labour Court matters, and industrial relations advisory work.

Role offers practical exposure to disputes, drafting and case preparation, with remote/hybrid work structure and growth opportunities in employment law practice.

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent law degree and admitted to practice.
• Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in labour/employment law.
• Strong knowledge of SA labour law, CCMA procedures, and Labour Court practice.
• Experience dealing with clients, advisory and litigation support.
• Excellent drafting, research, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support senior attorneys in labour/employment matters.
• Handle day-to-day dispute resolution, client interactions, and case preparation.
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, contracts and collective agreements.
• Assist in investigations, gather evidence, interview witnesses.
• Appear in hearings, tribunals, and court settings when needed.
• Inform and advise clients on labour compliance and strategy.
• Liaise with unions, bargaining councils, and Department of Labour.
• Prepare legal opinions and training materials in employment law.
