Job summary

EnableSA Recruitment is seeking a Junior IT Technician in Port Elizabeth to join our fast-growing IT Solutions team. You will provide first-line support to end-users, assist with desktop and network troubleshooting, and support various IT environments.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year IT support experience, basic Windows and Microsoft 365 knowledge, and good communication skills to deliver excellent customer service. A relevant IT qualification will be advantageous.

Qualifications

Grade 12 is required.
At least 1 year IT support or helpdesk experience.
IT certificate/diploma will be advantageous.
Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
Understanding of hardware, networking and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Active Directory is advantageous.
Valid driver’s license and own transport advantageous.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications.
Respond to user support requests and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Assist with user account administration, password resets, and Microsoft 365 support.
Configure and deploy new workstations, peripherals, and software applications.
Support network infrastructure, including basic troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of support tickets, resolutions, and IT assets.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians when required.
