Job summary

EnableSA Recruitment is seeking a Junior IT Technician in Port Elizabeth to join our fast-growing IT Solutions team. You will provide first-line support to end-users, assist with desktop and network troubleshooting, and support various IT environments.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year IT support experience, basic Windows and Microsoft 365 knowledge, and good communication skills to deliver excellent customer service. A relevant IT qualification will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• At least 1 year IT support or helpdesk experience.
• IT certificate/diploma will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of hardware, networking and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Active Directory is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications.
• Respond to user support requests and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with user account administration, password resets, and Microsoft 365 support.
• Configure and deploy new workstations, peripherals, and software applications.
• Support network infrastructure, including basic troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support tickets, resolutions, and IT assets.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians when required.
