Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join our client in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will assist in design, planning, and on-site execution of civil infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience under senior engineers.

The role involves site visits, data collection, and preparing technical reports. A fresh degree and a readiness to learn are essential, with travel to Gauteng project sites and growth toward professional registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Strong understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic knowledge of other engineering software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
• Willingness to travel to project sites within the Gauteng region.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design and planning of civil infrastructure projects.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
• Collect and analyze data related to soil conditions, traffic flow, and environmental factors.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and calculations under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem‑solving discussions.
• Learn and apply engineering software tools for design and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and records.
• Support the project team in ensuring efficient and timely project completion.
