Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Tembisa, Gauteng. This site-based role offers hands-on experience in infrastructure development, road construction, and urban planning, with mentorship from senior engineers.

You will participate in site inspections, data collection, and preparation of technical reports while developing practical engineering skills and professional registration ambitions in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Solid understanding of fundamental civil engineering principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic knowledge of other relevant software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
• Willingness to travel to project sites within the Gauteng region.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally in the civil engineering field.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in design and planning of civil infrastructure projects.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
• Collect and analyze data related to soil conditions, traffic flow, and environmental factors.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and calculations under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
• Learn and apply engineering software tools for design and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and records.
• Support the project team in ensuring efficient and timely project completion.
