Placements24 is seeking a Junior Electrical Project Engineer to join a prominent firm in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role targets recent graduates or engineers with 1–3 years of experience to support planning, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.

You will work with senior engineers, participate in site visits, and help ensure project delivery aligns with client specifications and timelines. Training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0-3 years of electrical engineering or project management experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and control systems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Support the development of electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
• Participate in site visits for inspections, measurements, and installation supervision.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems.
• Prepare project documentation, including progress reports, technical manuals, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to address technical queries and project updates.
• Manage project timelines and assist in budget control under the guidance of the project manager.
• Contribute to overall success and efficiency of project execution.
